Alyssa Froehling is a poet from the Midwest. She received her MFA in poetry from Ohio State in 2021. Alyssa received the Vandewater Poetry Award in 2019, judged by Christopher Kempf, and received the award again in 2020, judged by Aaron Coleman. She is also the 2020 and 2021 winner of the Arthur Rense Prize. Alyssa was Poetry Editor of The Journal from the summer of 2019 to the spring of 2021, and she is currently an Assistant Poetry Editor of Sundog Lit.
