About the workshop
Lilith Noah's Poetry Workshop goes into the second round!
Details
Lilith Noah's Poetry Workshop goes into the second round! This time, the workshop participants will use creative exercises to delve deeper into a specific emotion that had not been assigned in the first installment of the workshop, which they can explore in their poetry. The poems written in class will again appear in an exclusive workshop zine that you will build together with Lilith Noah, like the one you can see here.
What you will learn
Sitting down and actually writing something can be a bit of a challenge. That's why we will ease into this workshop with fun writing exercises and worksheets to get into the groove. Participants will be randomly assigned a specific emotion that they can explore and interpret in the form of poetry. Participants will then give and receive feedback on these emotion focused poems. Every poem will be included in a special zine created specifically for and by the participants, featuring a short bio of each individual. The poem will be accompanied by a photograph provided by the workshop participants. The final magazine PDF will be provided to the participants after the workshop is finished and will be featured and available to download on the Write or Die homepage.
Workshop takeaways
Students will learn how to convey emotion on paper. They will (re-)connect to their creativity and find inspiration in everyday life through poetry. Students will be able to finish the workshop with a poem published in the workshop magazine that will be available as an exclusive first look via e-mail and later officially available on the Write or Die homepage.
