For Plague Story

Does anyone have recommendations for lit mags that accept historical fiction? Would love to hear from people who have published stories in this genre!

<div>There’s Flashback Fiction, but they  only consider fiction under 500 words. I hope there are more that do.</div>

<div>Thank you! The story I’m submitting is about 1000 words so won’t be a fit there unfortunately.</div>

<div>I recently had a World War 11 story published by Fragmented Voices, a UK online journal. So that is a possibility, plus I'm sure other journals do too.</div>

<div>Black Fox Literary is somewhere I've considered for my work before. On their site it says "We enjoy receiving submissions from under-represented genres such as: YA, romance, flash fiction, mystery, etc," so maybe historical fiction as well! They open for subs again March 2nd.</div>
