Santiago Eastman Herrera is a Colombian-American transplant turned Canadian. Leaving his mechanical engineering background in Texas, he’s currently using his BA in creative writing and English literature from Concordia University as an editor for various magazines, such as After Dinner Conversation and Flash Fiction Magazine.

He’s published various articles, interviews, literature analyses, and a short story during his time as Managing Content Creator of Soliloquies Anthology (and is responsible for the copywriting of several small businesses). In terms of literature, he’s most interested in what makes people tick: class and racial inequalities, differences in communities, and the crunchy bits that appear when they all mix.

I am a Colombian-American transplant turned Canadian who recently finished my Bachelor’s in Creative Writing and English Literature after studying engineering in the US. I use my background (and the fact that my father was a professional photographer) to explore the struggles in identity and family dynamics in this piece.
