An inclusive online magazine publishing disabled, chronically ill, and neurodiverse creatives.

Wishbone Words Magazine was founded in 2021 by Hollie Warren in the Lake District, UK.

Wishbone's mission is to create a safe, supportive, and understanding online platform. By sharing voices, Wishbone allows for healing through vulnerability and also showcases underrepresented talents.

We publish twice a year, once in May and once in November.

We publish prose (fiction and creative non-fiction), poetry, translations, art, and photography.

We accept work from disabled, chronically ill, and neurodiverse writers and artists. These conditions can be mental or physical. We do not require formal diagnoses or written proof of these conditions. If you believe you are part of the disabled, chronically ill, and/or neurodiverse communities, we encourage you to submit.

These magazines have the fastest response times, so you won't be left hanging for months. No more endless waiting. Just, you know, regular waiting.
