Founded in 2013, Typehouse Literary Magazine is a writer and artist run literary journal based in Portland, Oregon. While our content is primarily for adults, we welcome submissions from creators ranging from highschool age to one hundred plus.

Author's rights
Typehouse takes first publication rights exclusively for six months, with non-exclusive archival rights thereafter. All other rights revert to the author upon publication. If a piece is reprinted please be sure to acknowledge Typehouse as its first publication.

General submissions are $3.00, with no-fee submission periods in January, July, and August We are slowly working our way up to paying professional rates, with payment currently at $25 per contributor. May 1-31: Closed to all general prose and poetry submissions. Submissions will be open with no fees for API creators and Mental Health identified creators. Feedback and Critiques TBA. Art will remain open. Issue 27 will be out by the end of this month.
