Additional info

We like clowning around, the avant-garde, satire, polemics, and walloping of the status quo. We’ll take it in the form of poetry, prose, hybrids, experimentation, all avenues of visual art, and however else you’d like to say it. WEB MAGAZINE The Tilted House Web Magazine is a clean and simple digital rag featuring one, maybe two pieces from local and international authors. 1BR / 3BATH Tilted House’s chapbook prize, 1BR / 3BATH, is looking for 16-35 pages of something fresh—experimental, puckish, political, funny, playful, polemical, and/or uncomfortable. In a word: anti-poetry. While there is no theme, per se, we are hungry for work that twists the arm of poetry’s status quo. FEE: $0-20 PRIZE: $200 / 15 author copies Netsuke Our brand new (micro) micro series, Netsuke (which is a tiny sculpture originating from Japan—pronounced net-skay) values the power of smallness. We’re seeking 10-12 page manuscripts of very short poems; five lines or fewer. OR visual art/images that are related and feel like a motion. FEE: $0-20 PRIZE: $100 / five author copies
