"Taking its title from the ending of Lear, The WEIGHT is a literary journal for high school students who may similarly find themselves in need of a creative outlet. Everyone has something heavy to get off their chest."

Additional info

We're looking for writing that has something honest to say. Something that releases the WEIGHT. Whatever the topic, readers need to see something honest about being alive. The piece should provide insight(s) into something important about the human experience. Whatever is said must hit an emotional chord in the reader, a chord that must resonate. Make us carry that weight long after we’ve stopped reading. Genre doesn’t matter to us. We are always accepting new submissions from high school aged students from anywhere in the world. We DO NOT accept submissions from teachers or parents! Do submit only one (1) genre at a time & wait to hear back from us before sending more.
