Poetry

No specific limitations

Wtf is genre, send anything (Creative Nonfiction)

We here at StudentKind use "Creative Nonfiction" as an umbrella term for any pieces that don't fall neatly into the realm of prose or poetry. This might include academic essays, personal narratives, photo diaries, your favorite casserole recipe - the possibilities are endless!

How to submit

  • Processs

    Email

  • Cover letter

We’re particularly interested in hearing about how you personally connect with the work you’re sending us and what it means to you. Great cover letters exclude unnecessary background information, providing thoughtful insight into the author’s work — and can sometimes make or break your odds of publication!

  • Eligibility

    No specific eligibility requirements

  • Formatting

We simply ask that all submissions format their work using an eligible font and font size. If possible, please send your work in PDF format — this makes it easier for us to edit and transfer into the larger issue.

  • Author's rights

StudentKind does not claim the rights to your work. Everything that you send us exclusively belongs to you, though by submitting it you consequently agree to the possibility of either publication or rejection.

  • Additional info

For those interested in submitting to the Summer Issue 2024, we can't wait to review your work! Please keep in mind, however, that StudentKind is a generally youth-oriented organization; as such, we are unable to accept submissions from individuals over 18 years of age for our Fall, Winter, or Spring issues. Don't miss the opportunity to see your work published through one of the foremost literary institutions in the community - send us your best short stories, poetry, and creative nonfiction today!
