Our goal is to give young writers and artists a platform to publish their most creative, fantastical, and unique ideas. We also want to give youth a free and accessible way to publish their pieces.

SeaGlass Literary is a writing and art magazine by young writers, for young writers. 

We are all about creativity, uniqueness, and authenticity. 

The ideas we look for are like sea glass: rare, unique, and beautiful. 

We want to provide accessible means for young creatives to have their work published and also create other opportunities.


We only publish people ages 13-30. We love showcasing marginalized voices; we support and stand with you.

The theme for Issue 17 is “spiral”.

It is a curve which starts from a point, and as it moves further away, it revolves around the point. “Spiraling is an issue of emphasis. It’s the idea of repeating a story’s thematic meaning by taking occurrences in the foreground — in plot, dialogue and characters — and mirroring them in the background: in symbols, imagery, and suggestions.”


At its core, The Ripple Effect explores how a single moment, choice, or idea spirals outward — distorting, echoing, and reshaping everything it touches. The spiral becomes both a visual motif and a narrative engine, symbolizing how events loop back on themselves, how patterns repeat with variation, and how meaning widens in concentric waves.
