A publisher and weekly journal committed to sharing poetry (in all its forms) accessibily.

Poetry Online, also known as poetry.onl, is a nonprofit organization dedicated to publishing poetry in accessible formats. Through our web journal and chapbooks, we feature poetry in written, visual, and time-based forms, with audio, plain text, and captioning whenever possible. Our mission is to expand the poetry space to better serve disabled poets, readers, and viewers.

Poetry Online is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization incorporated in December 2020 in Minnesota, on the stolen Indigenous land of the Dakhóta (Dakota) and Anishinaabeg (Ojibwe) peoples.

Cine (or video) poetry is an audiovisual form in which language, moving image, and sound are shaped into a single work. We are looking for pieces in which the relationship between poem and image is active and intentional, not just illustrative. The strongest submissions use cinematic and auditory and/or textual elements to create tension, resonance, surprise, and/or formal depth.

If helpful. we do not consider the following to be cine poetry:
- captioned readings of poems with slideshows
- readings to camera
- literal visualizations of a poem
- simple image collages without a developed cinematic logic or tension
