Off Season is a new independent literary magazine that celebrates the rough patches of a creative life. We open for submissions twice a year and produce four online issues a year. All submitters to Off Season should not have received a literary acceptance in the last three months.

Because Off Season's mission is to celebrate the rough patches of a creative life, we only accept submissions from writers who have not received a literary journal acceptance in the last three months. If you get an acceptance the day after you submit, fantastic! If we're about to close and you're two months and twenty-nine days from your last acceptance, that's also fine! It's the spirit of the rule - we want you to send us the work that you're most proud of that just hasn't found a home yet.Formatting
