"An online journal that seeks to be a home for your prose and poetry. It is a journal of treehouses and chipped coffee mugs; creaky floors and dusty corners. A place to tape your work to the kitchen fridge."

Submission Guidelines:
We publish poetry, prose (flash fiction, short stories, and creative nonfiction), drama, photography and art quarterly. Please read through the general and specific genre submission guidelines before you submit. We also recommend that you read through Issue 1 to get a sense of what we like and have recently published. Contact us via Twitter or email with any questions. Submissions are currently open through December 15 for Issue 2: Winter.
Response Time:
Our response time ranges from 1-6 weeks, but if you would like to hear back from us sooner or receive detailed feedback on a piece in your submission, see our expedited submissions offerings below. Feel free to query us after the six week mark if you haven't heard back from us regarding your submission.
Author Bios & Rights:
Writer's biographies will be published along with your work, and we also would like to individually celebrate our first-issue writers on Twitter if you have one! We will start highlighting a piece a day after the issue is published. We want you to be proud of the work that you've done and be sure that others can celebrate with you too.
βUpon acceptance, you agree to grant Heimat Review first North American serial and electronic rights. Following publication, all rights return back to you.
We are currently not a paying market, but we hope to become one! Our submissions are always free. If you would like to support us with a donation, we offer the following expedited submission and feedback options, and accept donations, through our ko-fi page:
