An undergraduate run literary magazine based out of the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. Seeks to publish undergraduate writers. AWP National Program Director's Award for Best Content 2019 & 2021. 

Furrow is a literary journal published annually by undergraduate students at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee (UWM). Established in 2000, the journal showcases exceptional poetry, fiction, nonfiction, art, and comics from undergraduate students across the United States. Furrow provides UWM students with hands-on experience in editing, publishing, publication design, web design, publicity, fundraising, and business practices. 

Supported by local donors and the UWM Department of English, Furrow releases a full-color print issue every May and regularly features new work on its website. The journal aims to connect student writers and artists with a broader network of creative individuals within and beyond Milwaukee. Furrow has twice received the Association of Writers & Writing Programs' (AWP) National Program Directors' Prize for Best Undergraduate Literary Journal in the U.S.

Anyone who was enrolled as an undergraduate at any college/university during this academic year is eligible, so people who graduated in December are still eligible for publication in the following spring issue.
