How to submit
Process
All submissions should be sent to causticfrolic@gmail.com. Please specify in the subject of your email the category you are submitting in: fiction, nonfiction, poetry, translation, art, or digital media. We accept up to 5 pieces per author, but we ask that each submission be attached individually. Do not include any identifying information your submission document(s). All submissions are evaluated anonymously. Identifying information should only be on your cover page.
Cover letters
Please include a cover page within the body of your email, including: your name, telephone number, email address, and a short bio (up to 150 words), as well as social media handles you would like to include. Please also indicate if you wouldn’t mind your work, if chosen, to be featured on our social media pages by putting a YES or NO next to your social media handle(s).
Eligibility
No specific eligibility requirements
Formatting
Essays should be formatted to follow the Chicago Manual of Style, 16th edition; please use endnotes, double-spaced, on a separate page following the body of the text. All fiction, nonfiction, and poetry submissions must be in .doc or .docx file format. For genre non-conforming submissions, submit in any format and we will work out the details on a case-by-case basis. Please feel free to contact Caustic Frolic with any questions.
