To maintain the scholarship, students must maintain a 3.0 GPA at Waldorf University and major or minor in Creative Writing.

Waldorf University's creative writing program offers workshops in 5 genres: poetry, fiction, creative nonfiction, screenwriting, and playwriting. Our residential faculty are award-winning and published authors, and each semester we bring a Distinguished Visiting Writer to campus to give readings and lead workshops. Students in our program have the opportunity to work on the editorial staff of the Waldorf Literary Review, our print and online literary magazine. Because of our focus on 1-on-1 mentoring, the creative writing major culminates in a senior thesis, a book-length project in the student’s genre of choice. We pride ourselves in preparing students to engage with the larger literary world!
