letterreview.comAdditional info
The Letter Review believes in the power of literature, and the importance and magic of new writing. Each year we provide over $20,000 USD in unrestricted cash awards to writers and artists. We publish approximately 100 new pieces of writing annually. Our website receives over 600,000 views a year. We strive to connect readers with excellent new writing: Our mission as a literary magazine is to publish new work, foster a supportive creative community, and help writers and artists with all matters related to being published, performed, and produced. At least 90% of the work we publish comes to us unsolicited, and submitted directly by the writer. We mark entries blindly to ensure fairness for all. The Letter Review features interviews with professional writers, publishes helpful information, and runs competitions with monetary prizes. To foster an egalitarian industry for writers we offer entry to our Prizes for free: In this way we remain permanently open to free and unsolicited submissions of Fiction, Nonfiction, Poetry, & Unpublished Books. The Letter Review will always pay writers professional rates, and seek submissions from writers who live anywhere in the world. We are a proud member of CLMP, and adhere to the CLMP contest code of ethics. "Letter Review emerges as a hallowed space where words bleed, mend, and soar. Within its pages, we find not just tales, but the delicate pulse of memories, interwoven with the age-old craft of storytelling and vulnerability. To have my voice cradled in such a sacred place is a serenade to the moonlit hours where prose meets poetry. A profound honor. The Letter Review stands as a monument of writing wisdom and talent. Being part of this mosaic of narrative and verse is a true honor." - Frederick Joseph: two-time New York Times bestselling author, activist, philanthropist, and poet (First Place in Letter Review Prize for Poetry)
