Write Together About

About

Writing is a solitary endeavor, but it doesn’t have to be lonely. When we decided to embark on writing the first drafts of our novels together, our mere desire turned into a finished draft. Instead of wasting time feeling overwhelmed and delaying writing, we eased into the water together and got to work regardless of our fears and insecurities. Consistent encouragement and reminders to keep working turned a wish to write a book into full drafts in our hands. Working through obstacles and pushing through blocks, we discovered our particular and individual writing rituals and helped one another along. Having a partner during the writing process taught us so much about ourselves as writers and helped us move from just a longing to write to an established writing life.

Our mission is to provide accountability and encouragement for writers looking to build a more consistent writing life and take their ideas for projects to completion. We strive to build lasting relationships with writers to help them work through challenges that arise, such as creating a writing routine that fits their current lifestyle and working through hurdles in their short story, novel, essay, etc.

Meet the Coaches

Tamar Mekredijian

Tamar resides in the Los Angeles area with her husband, daughter, and son. She majored in English with a concentration in Creative Writing, Fiction, for both her undergraduate and graduate degrees. She wrote her thesis, a collection of stories, under the advisement of Thomas Cobb, author of Crazy Heart which became a major motion picture. She teaches English Composition for Fresno City College but considers writing and teaching writing to be her primary work. She has taught and been a part of numerous creative writing workshops. Writing helps her look at the world closely and understand her place in it as a woman, wife, and mother. She writes in the margins of motherhood—early in the mornings before her kids wake up, during nap times and types notes on her phone in between. Her work appears at Mothers Always Write and Literary Mama. You can follow her writing and life on Instagram.
