WriteFlow: A Hybrid Generative and Feedback Lab (February Session)

Join us in this laid-back monthly workshop where creation and critique come together to get you ready for a productive month ahead. Drop in once or as many times as you like.

This is a genre-nonspecific hybrid generative and feedback workshop. We will be creating new work as well as critiquing existing drafts. We will begin with guided writing time using prompts. Prompts will be flexible enough for any genre. The rest of in-workshop time is reserved to give and receive feedback on works-in-progress. Time is divided equally among present participants.

This workshop does use the traditional cohort feedback workshop model. You can drop in for one session or a longer span of time – whatever is most beneficial to your project.

What you will learn

Participants will create new work using original prompts (and occasionally prompts sourced from guest writers). We will also dedicate in-workshop time to giving and receiving feedback.

Workshop takeaways

• The goal is for participants to leave the workshop with newly generated work as well as a more polished draft of a WIP that feels closer to publication day. • Newer writers can benefit from gaining experience in giving and receiving feedback in a supportive environment.
