Joyce Young’s chapbook, How it Happens, was nominated for a California Book Award. Her poetry appears in West Trestle Review, Essential Truths: The Bay Area in Color, and elsewhere and has been nominated for a Pushcart Prize. She has been awarded residencies at Hedgebrook, Vermont Studio Center, and Virginia Center for the Creative Arts. She has taught poetry workshops with OMCA, Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco, and Smith College. She currently teaches middle and high school humanties.
