William Smythe was born and raised in Memphis TN. He got his degree in Creative Writing and Literature from the University of Montana in Missoula. Ever since then, he has been submitting poems, short stories, and articles/op-eds to various publications. His poetry can be found in 3Elements, Poets Choices, and PityMilk Press. He also writes for local queer magazine Focus Mid-South and local left-wing paper Memphis Flyer.
