Vanessa has a PhD in Communications from Concordia University, specializing in methodologies of personal storytelling. Her writing has been published in Maudlin House and Bloodletter Magazine. Her shorts have screened internationally and her award winning film 'Foot Trouble' is streaming on NoBudge. She has performed short one-woman shows, including 'Little Scream', which was a part of The Brick’s ?!:New Works festival. She publishes a newsletter called 'A Life Based Loosely On Reality'.
