Valerie Berton has worked in communications for more than three decades, including leading a public affairs team at a U.S. agency. After winning creative writing prizes in college, she set off on a journalism, then PR path before U-turning back to story writing. She is co-founder of KindWrite Studio, a writing coaching and professional editing service, and volunteers as a proofreader for Cleaver lit mag and a mentor for Girls Write Now. She is a member of the Rehoboth Beach (DE) Writers Guild.
