Trina Marie

Trina Elkington-Ball is of Ngāti Toa, Ngāti Koata and Pākeha descent. She was born into a family of devout Mormons in Kirikiriroa and has lived in Tamaki Mākaurau, London and Geneva. She has been a Primary School Teacher, Bookseller and Autism Coach, but mostly Trina was a Trad Wife. In her early 40's she left the Church/Cult and is raising her three children as an Apostate-Divorced-Neurodivergent-Māori-Writer. She is currently a masters candidate at the IIML Creative Writing Programme.
