Trey Burnart Hall is from Botetourt County but has been based in Richmond over a decade. He is a musician, producer, educator, and community organizer, chairing the Parallel Listening Series at Gallery5, hosting the EarthFolk Old-Time Jam, and serving as the lead producer of the Blackbird Literary Podcast. His creative writing has been published in Cold Mountain Review and The Oregon Hill Review, and his academic work has been published in the Journal of Inclusive Postsecondary Education
