Marlena Marie was born and raised in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA. She has a BSBA in Operations Management, a BA in Theater from The Ohio State University, and a MLitt in Creative Writing from The University of Glasgow. She has been published Space Lime Zine, Orange Peel Poetry [Glasgow Zine], and Morii zine. She is the Managing Editor of Exhibit City News, a B2B trade show magazine, and the Production Manager for Black Ink Ocean Press, a southern gothic literary magazine.
