Parker Sundquist is acutely aware of environmental issues on both an academic and practical level, so he continues to write as an escape from the crushing reality that environmental science is often ignored for profit motives. As a child, he told extravagant lies to adults because he felt like they were more interesting than the truth. After many stern-faced discussions, he decided it was better to write the stories down. At 27 years old, Parker continues to find comfort in make-believe.
