P. L. Watts escaped the Florida foster care system and worked her way through college and graduate school, earning an MFA from Vermont College of Fine Arts and a Lambda Literary Fellowship for Emerging LGBTQ Writers. Her essays have appeared in ANMLY, J Journal, The Florida Review, Nightmare Magazine, and elsewhere. She's currently writing a haunted memoir, GOOD FRIDAY WORLD, from a garret in Spokane.
