Muireann O'Callaghan writes lyrical personal essays exploring places of home, and her work has appeared in Stonington-Mystic Patch and Grub Street’s 2024 anthology Our Planet, Our Stories. She has participated in writing intensives with Grub Street and received a fellowship for the 2025 Martha’s Vineyard Institute of Creative Writing. She teaches writing at the University of Connecticut and mentors cadets at the US Coast Guard Academy.
