Maureen McGuirk has had fiction published in anthologies such as Alternative Deathiness, and House of Secrets: Every Room Has a Story. Her one-act play "A Private Conversation" won an honorable mention in the New Works of Merit Playwriting Contest in 2016. She was one of six writers chosen for Literary Cleveland's Breakthrough Writing Residency in 2024.
