Matthew Carter

Matthew Carter is a New York–based poet whose work explores ruin, divinity, and the quiet machinery of emotional survival. His poems blend sacred language with post-apocalyptic imagery, creating psalms rooted in memory, grief, and aftermath. He writes to give shape to the silences he grew up carrying, building a world where the body becomes both relic and witness. He is developing his debut collection, New World Psalms.
