A New Jersey native, Lisa Sisler is the editor of Knocking at the Door: Approaching the Other, a poetry anthology and the author of Creative Writing Workshop, a textbook for beginning writers. Her poetry has appeared in print and online at Connotations Press, Contemporary American Voices, The Writing Disorder, among others. She recently won second place in the Lush Triumphant Creative Non-Fiction Prize through subTerrain magazine. She teaches writing at Kean University.
