Leanne Machado is a speculative fiction and cosmic horror short story writer currently working for an Master's in Fine Arts in Creative Writing and Poetics. She has been writing since she was a young girl, watching superhero cartoons and wishing that more black female characters had a spotlight. Her goal is to write speculative and cosmic stories which center black characters to simply be who they are, to decenter whiteness, and creating BIPOC representation without racial trauma.
