Liz S. Barrett (Red Lake Nation Ojibwe) is a writer in Red Lake, Minnesota. She graduated from Dartmouth College in 2021 and currently serves as a Grant Writer for the Red Lake Band. She is the author of Mashkiki Road, a children's book about the sacred Seven Grandfather Teachings, illustrated by Jonathan Thunder and published by the Minnesota Historical Society Press. When she isn't writing, you can probably find her reading, sewing, or tending to a garden.
