Lisa waited years for her opportunity to do what she always felt destined to do--write. She has lived many different lives--a teenage hippie, a San Francisco taxi driver, a dive joint bartender, a middle-class housewife, a 34-year-old single parent struggling to finish college, an academic writing teacher. That last one came with a pension so she is now, finally, able to focus on my own writing.
