Betsy Lancefield Lane is a former senior acquisitions editor (Contemporary Books and McGraw-Hill) and editorial director (Learning Resources). As the founder and director of Lane Editorial, she edits academic books and journal articles for university professors. Her own writing includes a memoir and a collection of essays at the intersection of natural history and farming as experienced through her lens as manager of her family’s 1846 homestead farm in Oregon’s verdant Willamette Valley.
