Kat Solares (KASSO), indigenous writer and artist, had her first poem published at 11 years old, but lost access to it over the years; She also published with the El Dorado poetry and writing groups where a book on Efrastic poetry, and one with several of her haikus have also made it into print; Put together and put out by the county's lauriet. Kat has even shown her poems along side her paintings in a featured showing. Her words are vivid and etherial, and full of big emotion, and bold imagry.
