Keesia is a retired high school English teacher who writes poetry and personal narrative. She served in the Peace Corps in Zaire, Africa from 1972-74 which led her to a career in English as a Second Language. She has published poems locally, as well as personal narratives in "Bramble" and "Yoga Chicago". She has also published English as a Second Language books with Prentice-Hall and McGraw-Hill.
