Kathy Ackerman

Kathy Ackerman holds a PhD in literature and has published three poetry books and three chapbooks, along with a critical biography of North Carolina proletarian novelist Fielding Burke called The Heart of Revolution. Her 2019 poetry collection, A Quarrel of Atoms, was a finalist in multiple contests and was awarded the Lena Shull Book Award by the North Carolina Poetry Society. After more than 35 years in higher education, she has retired to walk in the woods and grow things.
