Karen Menzel (née Bovenmyer) holds an MFA from the University of Southern Maine’s Stonecoast Popular Fiction program. She teaches for Iowa State University and is an active member of the Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers Association (SFWA). Her fiction and poetry has appeared in more than forty publications, including Abyss & Apex, Cosmic Roots and Eldritch Shores, Eye to the Telescope, Gamut, Pseudopod, and Strange Horizons.
