J. Q. Carratello is a non-binary, Asian-American writer from North Carolina. They earned their MFA in Fiction at Texas State University, where they were awarded the W. Morgan and Lou Claire Rose Fellowship. Their work has appeared in Lumina Journal and Porter House Review. When not writing and reading, they can be found knitting, hiking, or watching Star Trek.
