Jean Paul Vizuete

Jean Paul Vizuete is a Vancouver-based Panamanian writer and filmmaker specialized in speculative fiction that examines mental health and the human condition. A graduate of Universidad del Cine (Argentina) and Vancouver Film School, he is the Programming Director for the HAYAH International Short Film Festival of Panama. His recent work includes the film Memory (2025) and the in-development series Arpía, winner of the 2024 Panama National Film Fund.
