From a young age, Jordan Mumford has always been a sensitive soul than most people. Poetry became the medium for him to express his emotions when he got into foster care. He managed to cope with living without his birth family through poetry. Jordan's drastic life changes had me him become mute, but he knew his words gave him a voice. Jordan has continued to sharpen his writing skills through multiple creative writing workshops. He has become a finalist for African Diaspora Award with his poem
