John Alexander is the editor of SouthPole, an independent publication exploring where technology meets the human experience. A longtime technologist, musician and builder, he created SouthPole as a place to explore people, systems, creativity, overlooked work, and strange expertise. He is particularly interested in what people learn by doing something for a long time, and in the knowledge that disappears when nobody thinks to ask about it.
