Jeremy Teddy Karn was born in Monrovia, Liberia. He is an MFA candidate in poetry at the Iowa Writers’ Workshop. His chapbook Miryam Magdalit, was selected by Kwame Dawes and Chris Abani for inclusion in the New-Generation African Poets' Chapbook Boxset (APBF), 2021. His poetry has received funding from the Stanley Awards International Fellowship at the University of Iowa. He is a 2024 finalist for the Two Sylvias Press Chapbook Prize.  His poems have appeared in several journals and magazines.
