Janet is a Professor of Creative Writing whose memoirs and essays have appeared in The Rumpus, Post Road, Harvard Review, River Teeth, and others. Her memoir, THE FOURTH STRING: A MEMOIR OF SENSEI AND ME was published by Stone Bridge Press in 2019. Janet directs the MFA in Visual & Literary Arts at Lesley University. She writes memoir, essays, narrative nonfiction, flash, and poetry. She has been professionally affiliated with AWP, IWWG, PEN, The Writers' Room of Boston, Post Road, and others.
