After kicking heroin in 1999, Jamie Alliotts went on to study writing at Columbia, Oxford, Dartmouth, and Iowa. He’s won awards and fellowships for his creative work. His drama, fiction, literary journalism, photography, and poetry appear in nearly a dozen notable publications, including Virginia Quarterly Review, Cleaver, Hobart, and others. Alliotts is writing plays and a memoir about his experiences as a heroin addict in the US Navy and on the streets of Manhattan during the 1990s. He lives.
