Ipuna Estavillo Black is a mother of four, a runner, and a writer who believes the most honest stories live between heartbreak and hope. Half Korean, half Puerto Rican, she grew up scrappy in Las Vegas, a city that taught her to dream bigger than her circumstances. She writes YA because she remembers carrying things too heavy to name, and for the readers who deserve stories that see them. MFA candidate, PhD in Nursing, Associate Dean. Her debut manuscript is her most personal yet.
