Shelley Isabel

Shelley Isabel is a Dominican poet from The Bronx, New York. She writes to process as she becomes more human, more woman, and more daughter. Her writing resists conventional form and instead, she bends perception by layering metaphor and nonlinear movement. Her poems have been featured in literary magazines, poetry anthologies, multimedia art installations, and in her Substack poetry publication, The Oyster Opens.
