Heather is the Founding (Corporate) Poet Laureate of workLIT, where her poetry explores the emotion and imagery of modern work/life and our relationship with technology. Although earning an MBA, instead of the MFA she had originally planned, Coughlin credits her humanities foundation and poetic impulses as a leadership superpower she has honed over a 30-year career. Her poem “Résumé” was recently included in The Book of Jobs (ONE ART, 2025 & Penn State University Open Press, 2026).
